About Coach Curtis Bell

Curtis Bell was awarded a full football scholarship to the University of Washington in 1986. That year, he was voted an Honorable Mention All-American by National High School Magazine. Curtis played in two Bowl games, the Sun Bowl vs Alabama Crimson Tide and the Independence Bowl vs Tulane Green Wave. In 1989, Curtis was the 11th player selected by the Hamilton Ticats in the CFL Draft. Bell was a member of the Toronto Argos roster for 2 seasons before signing with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Sidelined by injuries forced Curtis into retirement. Since the early 90's, Curtis has coached football at the grassroots level, high school and was Offensive Coordinator at the University of Waterloo. Bell is presently the Head Coach of senior football at Cathedral High School. As a Father of 4, Curtis prioritized coaching his children with pride, passion and purpose. His daughter was awarded a full track scholarship to the University of Montana, his son was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Maine in football and most recently, his 15-year-old son was awarded a full scholarship to the prestigious Episcopal High School in Virginia.

"As a Father and Coach, I believe an athlete's success consists of a combination of mental and physical preparation (10,000 hours of deep practice), resilience, resolve, positive lifestyle, emotional intelligence and attention to detail".

"That's been my formula".
